Cleveland Cavaliers fans are buzzing as debates swirl around Donovan Mitchell’s impact and the team’s now-legendary “two bigs” setup with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. Despite persistent criticism, the numbers back up Cleveland’s core, Mitchell, Allen, and Mobley elevate both offense and defense, debunking tired narratives about the Cavs' supposed shortcomings. Can this newly constructed roster, now featuring the versatile Peyton Watson and the return of Mario Hezonja, finally mask past weaknesses and maximize the team’s strengths?
With the NBA season underway, Cleveland’s front office faces harsh financial realities. The cap sheet is maxed out, future first-round picks are frozen, and mid-level contracts are a thing of the past. No major moves loom on the horizon, meaning this year’s Cavs squad will have to make their playoff push as currently constructed. Will continuity and subtle roster tweaks be enough to ignite a deep postseason run?
