No lead is safe in the NBA this season, as the Cleveland Cavaliers continue to experience dramatic finishes. After rallying from a deficit to overpower the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime, the Cavs have now been both victims and victors in games where big leads vanished. The shifting landscape of the NBA, with tighter playoff races and new lottery odds, promises even fiercer competition and fewer throwaway games.
Donovan Mitchell praises rookie Meleek Thomas for providing an energy spark and transforming the team’s momentum, while Evan Mobley’s growing confidence signals his emergence as the Cavs’ cornerstone. Kenny Atkinson faces crucial backcourt decisions, but Thomas’s breakthrough performance should secure him a lasting spot in the rotation. Can Cleveland continue their resilient run, or is this trend of unpredictable outcomes here to stay?
